Accessories and cautions for use of children's bicycles

The chain cover of children's bicycles is essential. Children's bicycles with the highest saddle height equal to or greater than 560mm should be equipped with a disk chain cover or other protective devices to cover the outer surface of the meshing part of the chain and sprocket.

When the chain is fully engaged on the sprocket, the chain cover should be beyond the outer side of the chain in the diameter direction, without the chain cover and with other protective devices, the cover range should be extended to the sprocket teeth into the initial point of the two sides of the chain from the chain to at least 25mm.

Children's bicycles with saddle height less than 560mm should be equipped with a chain cover that covers the outer surface and edge of the chain, sprocket and flywheel, as well as the sprocket and the inner surface where the chain and sprocket engage to prevent children from getting their fingers into them. Because children's bikes are not used for riding on roads, they must be used under adult supervision and must not be used on roads.
